ISABELLE WOODS 1914 - 2004 Peacefully, on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Oakview Extendicare Isabelle Woods passed away at the age of 89. Isabelle is survived by her son Chris Woods and wife Dianne and their son David, and her daughter Mary Jane Winch and husband Ted and their children, Teresa, Martin, Jennifer and Lindsey and five great-grandchildren. Isabelles husband Rod passed away in 1973. Isabelle was born in Moose Jaw, SK. Towards the end of the war she met and married her husband Rod. They settled in Wildewood Park and had their two children. Later moving to Waterford Ave., Isabelle was active at St. Pauls Anglican Church. Isabelle played golf and curled at the Wildewood Club for most of her adult life. Isabelle worked at the Victoria Hospital in Volunteer Services and continued to volunteer with the Hospital Guild for many years. Isabelle maintained close friendships with a wide circle of friends, mostly in Fort Garry. She has travelled with her friends in Canada coast to coast, and enjoyed several trips to the warm climates of the southern U.S., as well as many family visits. At the time of her death, Isabelle was being cared for at Oakview Extendicare in St. James. A memorial service was held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home on Monday, January 12, 2004. The family would like to thank the staff of Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts and Oakview for their help and support during the last few years.
