WM RODNEY (ROD) FEWINGS July 27, 1926 - January 12, 2004 Peacefully and with his loving family by his side, Rod Fewings passed away January 12, 2004. He was predeceased by his parents, Nan and Ernie Fewings. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Peggy and three sons, Bruce (Charlene), Bob (Judy) of Winnipeg and Gary (Marietta) of Abbotsford BC; grandchildren, Charaty, Darren, Derrick, Christopher, Tyler of Winnipeg and Clifford, Jeffrey, Lesley Anne, Jennifer, Caitlen and Danielle of Abbotsford. He will be sadly missed but forever in their hearts. Rod was born and lived his whole life in Winnipeg. During his teen years, he loved to spend his summers at his Aunt and Uncles farm near Bradwardine. After finishing school, Rod worked several years in the accounting field, finally finding his niche at The Winnipeg Art Gallery, where he retired after 17 years. We would like to thank Dr. Foerster and Tang Ha of St. Boniface Cancer Care, Dads home care nurse, Suzan, and a very special thank you to our Dads home care worker, Darryl, who went far beyond his duties. Our Dads/Grandpas compassion, keen wit and great sense of humour will be remembered and missed by all who knew and loved him. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Rods life will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2004 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. If you wish, donations may be made in Rods name to Cancer Care Leukemia Research at the St. Boniface Hospital, 409 Tache Ave. Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6.
