Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARCEL LEMIEUX December 22, 1946- January 12, 2004 After battling diabetes for 44 years, Marcel went home to meet his maker on Monday, January 12, 2004, at the age of 57 years. Marcel was diagnosed with diabetes when he was 12 years old but that never stopped him from living a good life. He obtained his B.A. degree from the College Universitaire de Saint-Boniface and his B.L.S. degree from lUniversite dOttawa. He then came back to Manitoba and worked for 28 years as librarian at the College de Saint-Boniface where he met many friends. Unfortunately, Marcel had a stroke in 1994 but with great determination, he returned to work for a short period of time. Everyone will remember Marcel for his sense of humour, his generosity, his love of life and his ability to make everyone laugh with his favourite song, "En revenant de Rigaud." He enjoyed travelling which he did much of during his short life. He left this world to be with his mom and dad, George and Rose; his brother Roland; a nephew "Little Ricky;" a niece Sandra; and numerous aunts and uncles. He leaves to mourn his passing his brother Fernand and wife Marlene; sister Gabrielle; two nieces, Bonita and her husband Emile and Melissa; two nephews, Peter and Christopher; a special nephew Shawn; and special niece Diana; uncle Adrien and wife Eva; as well as numerous cousins and friends. Fern and Gaby would like to thank the staff of 4 ABC at the Tache Centre, as well as friends and relatives who visited Marcel. At Marcels request, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will be held at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church in St. Adolphe, MB, on Friday, January 16 at 1:30 p.m. Interment of Marcels cremated remains will take place in the St. Adolphe Parish Cemetery following the service. "Adieu Marcel, Repose en paix." Donations may be made in Marcels memory to a charity of ones choice. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
