WILLIAM (BILL) HOMER WARREN On Tuesday, January 13, 2004, after a long struggle with cancer, Bill passed away at the age of 85 years. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Pearl, of 64 years of marriage; daughters, Dorothy (Gary) Flanagan, Carol (Richard) Rosentreter and Wilma (Sylva) Chevrefils; son Danny; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, Meryl (Hattie) Warren and Jim Warren; sister Norma (Garf) Weston; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Mertie and Norman Warren and grandson Danny Chevrefils. Bill was born on July 25, 1918, in Saskatoon and grew up in Lucky Lake, SK. Bill worked for 42 years for Manitoba Hydro as a welder and diver. After his retirement he spent seven years as a volunteer at the Selkirk Marine Museum where he was fondly known as "Bill the Diver." He dearly loved his association there. Bill had a lifetime membership in the Great Falls Community Club. In the early years, his role was to run the projector for Saturday night movies. He was also a great supporter of the 4-H Club and was usually seen driving members to various competitions or maybe he would have a car load of young hockey players to take to a game. Bill was always generous with his contributions to the community. It can be said, "Well done good and faithful servant" and now you have earned your rest. Bills funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Lac du Bonnet Pioneer Club, 32 Park Ave., Lac du Bonnet, MB, with Rev. Sandra Tankard officiating. Interment will follow in the Lac du Bonnet Cemetery. For those who wish, viewing will take place one hour prior to the service. A special and sincere "thank you" to Dr. Corder and staff at the Beausejour Hospital for their kind, compassionate care; also, to the staff at East Gate Lodge for the kindness shown to Bill during his brief stay there. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bills memory to a charity of ones choice. WOJCIKS ALL BELIEFS & FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665 \r
