CARMINE "NINO" DANGELO It is with deepest sadness the family announces the sudden passing of our father, husband, and beloved nonno, aged 61, in Guardalavaca, Cuba, on Friday, January 9, 2004. Left to cherish his memory, his wife of 31 years, Carmela; his son Antonio (Bonnie) his daughter Gina (Jeremy) and grandson Justin. As well as his sister, Maria Zinni; nephew Vincent (Heather) niece Catia (Gianni) along with other cousins overseas. Carmine was predeceased by his father and mother, Domenicoantonio and Giovina DAngelo; his brother-in-law, Gabrielle Zinni; and father-in-law, Domenico DeLaurentiis. A special thanks to the special friends that were with Carmine during this time and who unselfishly gave all their efforts to aid, comfort and console. Nino, who immigrated to Canada in 1962, worked as a master tradesman of masonary and then as a self-employed barber until his retirement in 1993. Carmine was passionate of many things and retirement was just another excuse to venture out and try his hand at other things. Everything that he set his mind to, he succeeded. Family and friends were the greatest of his passions. All who met Carmine gravitated towards him because of his passion for life. He worked hard to give his very best to his family, visiting and spending time with each and everyone of them all the time. His grandson, Justin got to know the special nonno in his life as his caregiver when mom was at work. To his children, he left a legacy bigger than life. Always an active member in the Italian community, Carmine devoted his service to the Knights of Columbus and continued the tradition of his father as a member of the Alpini Association. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, January 21 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Road. Intombment will follow in Chapel of Eternal Memories Mausoleum, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., R3L 0K6. Forever in the hearts of all who loved and cared for you, may your spirit rise above the sadden hearts of all whom youve left behind, as you travel on the path guided by angels - as you travel home.
