ELLA SLIPPERT Ella passed away on January 13, 2004. She will be sadly missed by her children, Harold (Brenda), Gary (Francine) and Louise (Gerry) grandchildren, Colin (Stephaine), Kevin (Karen), Scott, Perside, Tobie, great-grandchildren, Jacob, Aria and Eden. She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Albert. Ella was a homemaker all of her married life. She taught Sunday school for many years at Trinity Lutheran Church and was president of the Womans Mission at her church. After retirement Mom volunteered at the Sargent Park Nursery School. She loved children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren always made her smile and she was very proud of them. Houseplants were her speciality, African violets being her favourite. When Dad passed away Mom moved to Lions Manor. The move was very hard on her. She lived there for three years. In September, 2003 we celebrated Moms 90th birthday. Her health was failing and the Misericordia became her new home. The family would like to thank the nurses on Wolseley 2 for their compassionate care. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 17 at 3:00 p.m. at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street), with Pastor Ron Nelson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
