ANNE TROYAN On Thursday, January 15, 2004, at the Arborg and District Health Centre, Anne Troyan of Arborg passed away at the age of 84 years. Surviving to mourn her loss, two sons, John (Mary), James (Diane) two daughters, Shirley Kolench and Gladys (Larry) Andrusiak; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Nettie Solinski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Anne was predeceased by her parents, Jacob and Sophie Solinski; first husband Stanley; second husband Alex; son Melvin; infant daughter Rose; brothers, Ken, Frank, John; and infant sister Stella. Anne was born October 18, 1919 at the family homestead in Hayek, MB. On February 10, 1935 she married Stanley Troyan and they purchased the farm in Ledwyn. They farmed here until 1976 when they retired in Arborg. Anne was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Church at Ledwyn. She enjoyed coffee at the Co-op and Senior Citizens Club visiting with friends and neighbours. She took great pleasure in gardening. When it came to celebrating Christmas and Easter, family and friends thoroughly enjoyed Annes delicious baking and especially her perogies and cabbage rolls. She was a woman with a lot of foresight, she prearranged her own funeral service even writing her own obitbulkloaduary. Prayers will be held on Sunday, January 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church, Arborg. Rev. Fr. David Kowalski will officiate. Pallbearers will be Annes grandchildren, Jason Troyan, Eugene Kolench, Debbie Troyan, Cindy Andrusiak, Arlene Kolench, Michael Philipchuk, Kenny Mullen. In lieu of flowers, if friend so desire, memorial donations may be made to a charity of ones choice. Vychni Utpochynok Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home, in care of arrangements.
