ALISTAIR GEORGE (AL) BERNARD Al was a recent resident of Morinville, AB, formerly from Winnipeg, MB, passed away suddenly at age 66 on December 29, 2003 at Abbotsford, BC. Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, he moved to Saskatoon, SK and continued his career in the construction industry, primarily as a construction estimator for PCL Constructors Canada Inc. He was also a project coordinator for an addition to the Brandon City Hospital. His last career position was with Stuart Olson Construction in Edmonton, AB. He was a hard worker and earned the "Gold Seal Award" in construction. Al enjoyed the peace and quiet of nature and was looking forward to completing their retirement home at Woodridge. He enjoyed hiking, travelling, playing his piano and singing with the St. Albert United Church Choir. He was predeceased by his parents, Father, George Bernard and Mother, Margaret Nicol (Foggo) Bernard. Al is survived by his wife, Lucille Barnabe; daughter Diane (Terry) Luoma and grandchildren, Kathleen and Emily; son Martin (Tina) Bernard with grandchildren, Stephie and Alysha; daughter Pam (Rob) Ledgister with grandchildren, Ethan, Makenna and Elijah; step-daughter Michelle (Joel) Chartier with grandchildren, Colin, Rosalie and Julianne; step-son Charles (Darcia) Barnabe with grandchildren, Deaken and Kail. Also surviving Al is his sister Grace Turner of New Zealand. Cremation has occurred. Join us in a memorial service to celebrate Als life, to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 23, 2004 at the Roman Catholic Church, Woodridge, MB followed by burial of ashes in Woodridge Cemetery. Afterwards, gathering of friends is requested, with lunch served at the Community Hall. \r
