IRENE LOUISE BOYLE October 17, 1915-January 2, 2004 Predeceased by her parents, E.P. and Rose Mary Boyle; brothers, Bud, Robert and Ken. Irene is survived by her sister Winnifred Sanders (California) and brother, Jack Boyle (Neepawa) as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Irene completed both her primary and secondary education in Neepawa. She was a dedicated student and was awarded the Governor Generals medal for Academic Excellence in her final year of high school. She went on to Saint Marys Academy in Winnipeg where she had two scholarships, later returning to work in the family business, the Neepawa Creamery, until her retirement in 1990. Irene dedicated her life to family members, the Catholic Church and the family business. She invested many years in the development of Catechism Programs at Saint Dominics Church and the instruction of young people in their faith. Irene also had a love of music and studied piano receiving her degree from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto. Besides music, Irene had a great interest in all the Arts and supported a multitude of organizations. Many other groups and charities were the beneficiaries of her philanthropy as well. Most recently she was pleased to have a small part in the development of the Beautiful Plains Museum in Neepawa. One of the great joys in Irenes life was travel. Through seven decades she visited countries on six continents using her keen intellect to learn about the people, their histories and the challenges they faced. Her travels provided the opportunity to form friendships throughout the world which she maintained until her death. Irene succumbed to cancer in her 89th year and a celebration of life was held by friends and family at a Funeral Mass concelebrated by Fathers Y. Gamallo and A. Seaman in St. Dominics church at Neepawa on Wednesday, January 7. Interment followed at the Neepawa Cemetery. Requiescat in Pace, Irene. \r
