PATRICIA ANNE DORMAN Peacefully, on January 15, 2004, at the Selkirk General Hospital, Pat Dorman passed away at the age of 73 years. Pat fought a lengthy battle with cancer in the hospital where she was employed for many years. Pat is survived by her son Kelly Kehoe (Anita) granddaughter Jade Kehoe and grandson Tate Kehoe, all of Saskatoon; brothers, Gordon (Olive) Vinnell of Saskatoon and Leslie of Prince Albert. Pat made many lifelong friends all of whom held a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her father Jack Vinnell; mother Corrinne Vinnell; infant daughter Danica Kehoe; infant grandson Kael Kehoe; and husband George Dorman. Pat was born in Birch Hills, SK, on June 24, 1930. Pat took all her schooling in Birch Hills then went to take her nurses training and graduated from the Holy Family School of Nursing as a R.N. in 1952. Pats nursing career took her to Birch Hills, Prince Albert and on to Selkirk, MB, in 1966. Pat worked primarily as an operating room nurse until her retirement in 1998. One of Pats other pastimes through her life was the game of hockey. She was a hockey player in Birch Hills in the 1940s, long before womens hockey was popular. Pat followed her son Kellys hockey career in minor hockey in Birch Hills and Selkirk onto Junior "A" with stops in Selkirk with the Steelers and Flin Flon with the Bombers and onto Amarillo, TX, with the Wranglers. It was through hockey that she met her second husband, George Dorman. Pat followed with great interest Georges coaching career and in later years, his career with the Marine Museum in Selkirk. She was a long standing member of Christ Anglican Church in Selkirk. Her faith was strong, and she looked forward to Sunday services where she sang in the choir. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 19 at 2:00 p.m. in the Christ Anglican Church with The Ven. Godfrey Mawejje officiating. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff of the Selkirk General Hospital and to Dr. Fuchs for all their care and compassion. Thanks also to her special friends, Grace Thorey and Lil. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Selkirk Marine Museum. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements. \r
