KATHERINE AGATHE HURD 1916 - 2004 Peacefully, on January 14, 2004, Katherine Hurd passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 87 years. Kay is survived by her son Dennis (Shirley) Hurd; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law Winifred and Vicky Hurd and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased her husband Harry and sons Lyle and Dale. Kay was born on March 13, 1916 in southern Manitoba and after marrying Harry, they moved to Winnipeg. She worked for Dunn-Rite Foods Ltd. for many years. Kay really enjoyed spending time with her family. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 20 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 21 at 10:30 a.m. also at the chapel. Interment at Brookside Cemetery to follow. The family would like to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre on D4 and D5 for their care and compassion.
