JAMES HOWARD MILLER It is with deep sadness that the family of James Howard Miller announces his passing at Carman, MB, on December 18, 2003. Howard was born in Boissevain, MB on August 9, 1953. He was the fourth child of Allen and Olive Miller. He was predeceased by his father on July 26, 1988. Howard was raised on the home farm near Fairfax and attended school at Fairfax, Minto, and Boissevain. Howard was employed in various occupations before settling into his chosen profession of auto sales and leasing with Ford of Canada. He spent over 20 years with the Ford company and in 1986 he received an award for being one of the top 100 sales representatives selling Ford trucks in Canada. Howard married Marilee Allison Gervin on October 23, 1982 in Winnipeg, MB and from that union two children were born, Mary-Kathryn (Katie) and James Gervin Miller. Howards family was always uppermost in his mind and he was a constant at all their events, be it sporting, academic or the childrens music recitals. He was active in community events, served on the board of Minor Athletic for several years, and always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. His kind and quiet nature also harboured a wonderful sense of humour. Howard is lovingly remembered by his wife and two children; his mother Olive Miller; one sister Carroll (Ron) Walker; three brothers, Bill (Pat), Bob (Evelyn), Stephen and his Aunt Beth Whittingham; many nieces and nephews, and a large extended family and many wonderful friends. A funeral service celebrating Howards life was held at the Whitewater Mennonite Church, Boissevain, MB on December 23, 2003 with Rev. Evelyn Rigby officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be all those in attendance. If friends so desire, donations may be left toward Registered Education Fund for Howards children at CIBC, Treherne, MB R0G 2V0 or Royal Bank, Boissevain, MB R0K 0E0 or to a charity of ones choice. Killarney and Boissevain Funeral Homes Ltd. in charge of arrangements. \r
