Cherished by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Claudette was born on May 6, 1938 in Ottawa, ON. She was raised in Collingwood, ON. She later moved to Winnipeg where she raised her children. Mom was a hard working lady, she worked in and out of the home. She worked numerous jobs to support her family. This was one of her life lessons she taught to her kids. Some of her hobbies were crafting and C.B. radio (where she was voted mother of the year in 1976). Jarring and pickling, crocheting and her favourite was BINGO! Mom always made sure her kids never went without no matter what there needs were, and even though money was tight, no one ever left her home hungry. Her house was like a Community Centre for family and friends. She loved family outings. Summer camping with tents or trailers as well as Christmas were the highlights of her year. Her family was her life, she had enough love for her own kids as well as others that came, to call her, Mom. Her door was always open. Nanny had a special gift when it came to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In lieu of donations, give someone you love a hug, we can all afford that!. Mom was buried in Collingwood, ON, with her family on January 5, 2004. Our love is with you forever, Mom. Bernardo Funeral Home in Newmarket, ON LECLAIRE BROTHERS in Winnipeg, 775-2220 \r
