Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNETTE LORETTE TORGASON Peacefully passed away in her sleep on January 15, 2004. Born Antonia Pitkewitsch on June 12, 1912, she married John Torgasows on Feb 4, 1928 in Radavo Pagasta Latvia. In 1943 Antonia, with her two children, moved from Riga Latvia to Munich Germany where she studied and received her diploma in pattern making and dress designing. In 1950 they immigrated to Canada and made their home in Winnipeg. Antonia worked in the sewing industry in Winnipeg and lived in her own home until a year ago when she moved to Beacon Hill Lodge. Annette was predeceased by her son, Victor Torgasows (1930 to 1980), her daughter, Nina Miske (1936 to 1996), her first husband, John in Latvia in September 1988, and her parents who succumbed to the great flu that swept Europe in 1918. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Valerie Rita Sampson (Sam) of Kelowna, Wendy Bauer (Steve) of Vancouver, and Lisa Szucsik (Louis) of Winnipeg, and great-grandchildren Jesse and Jason Sampson and Aaron and Andrea Szucsik. Prayers will be held on Sunday 3:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral of St. Ivan Suchavsky, 939 Main St. with Rev. Fr. Cornell Zubritsky officiating. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044 \r
