Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER PELOSKI It is with great sadness that the family of Peter Peloski announces his sudden passing at his residence on January 17, 2004 at the age of 77 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 46 years, Diane; three daughters, Shirley Peloski of Calgary, AB, Bonnie Peloski of Selkirk, MB and Tracy Kubic (Trevor) of East Selkirk; three grandchildren, Ashley and Ryan Kubic and Teaghan Peloski-Hennessey; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his two sons, Stuart in 1987 and Gordon in 1969; parents, Frances (Sawinsky) and Stanley Peloski; and one sister and six brothers. He was born on January 27, 1926 on the farm in Saskatchewan, near the Manitoba border. After completion of high school he enlisted in the army from February 1945 to October 1946. After being discharged from the military, he went back to the family farm. On October 26, 1957 he married Diane Poznikoff and continued farming until 1962. They then moved to Ethelbert, MB, where Dad began his careet with Manitoba pool Elevators. Within his 28 year career he won numerous awards for sales of farm chemicals as well as selling Co-op Insurance. It was in Ethelbert that Peter became a volunteer Fire Chief with the Ethelbert Fire Deptartment. In 1976 he was transferred to Selkirk, where he worked until his retirement in 1989. During his years at Manitoba Pool Elevators, dad had made many friends, but mostly enjoyed spending time with his family and with his precious grandchildren. Peter enjoyed playing pool as well as cribbage in his spare time. Viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 20 at 7:00 pm. in the Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 21 at 2:00 also in the chapel, with Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Clements Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the ambulance attendants and the Selkirk RCMP who came to the house. We appreciate the dignity and respect you showed our father.
