Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT E. ADAMS Peacefully, with his loving wife by his side, Robert passed away on January 19, 2004 at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his first wife Florence. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret (Bell) of Winnipeg; daughter Margo Anne, her husband Bradley Larsen and grandson Camden (Grand Forks, ND) in-laws William and Beryl Bell of Winnipeg, their son David (Liz) and family of Lockport, their daughter Diane (Neil) and families of Delta, BC, and many family friends. Robert was born in Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset, England, in 1912. He emigrated to Canada with his parents in 1922, to settle in Winnipeg. From about 1939 to 1946 Robert was enlisted in the RCAF and upon discharge from the military continued working in the investment business. He spent many years at Norris Securities and Bongard Leslie firms here in Winnipeg. Robert was always an active person who enjoyed sports and church activities. For many years he was an active member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church where he was Peoples Warden for 15 years. Through this connection he met and married Margaret. They were married for 35 years. In the early 1970s Robert retired and enjoyed an active life of gardening, woodcrafting, volunteer work, travel, and caring for his wife and beloved daughter. His life was graced by family and wonderful friendships. The family would like to thank the unending support of his friends, especially Des and Gwen Kerley, Marge Clark, and Jim and Marguerite Newton. We would also like to thank the staff of Ward B1 at Riverview Health Centre for their extra-special, compassionate care and support. For more than 20 years, he has been a member of St. Andrews Anglican Church, Woodhaven. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Anglican Church, 2200 Portage Ave., on Friday, January 23, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Ian Mills officiating. Interment will be at St. Johns Cathedral Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
