ERICK WILLIAM FOWLER September 12, 1923 - January 17, 2004 Peacefully at Riverview Health Centre, with his family at his side, after a courageous battle, our husband and father was called to his eternal rest. Erick will be greatly missed by his wife of 55 years, Verna; daughter Elaine and son-in-law Ron. He is survived by his brothers, Campbell (Grace), Sandy, Edwin (Eileen), Sid (Marg) and sisters-in-law, Evelyn and Trudy, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Campbell and Maggie; brothers, Don and James; sister Margaret and sisters-in-law, Helen and Caroline. Daddy was born in Elphinstone, MB and moved to Winnipeg at an early age and was employed with Livingston International for 35 years until his early retirement in 1984. He loved to travel with his family and we have many wonderful memories of love and laughter. He also enjoyed many entertaining afternoons playing cribbage with his friends. His buddy Elly misses him very much. Prayers will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 23, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrews. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Lou Fowler, Charles Fowler, Randy Pochinco, David Olinyk, Ed Weselak and Serle Fowler. Honorary pallbearers are Vic Weselak, Michael Desrosiers, Goldwyn Fowler, Robbie Olinyk, Rodney Olinyk and Barry Olinyk. Mom, Ron and Elaine would like to thank everyone for their prayers, kindness, words of encouragement and their thoughtful gestures during this very difficult time. We would also like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre, who were so very kind to Dad during his illness.
