JOHN HAROLD FREDERICK HALL It is with deep sadness, the family announces the passing of John Hall on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at Deer Lodge Centre after a lengthy illness. John leaves to mourn his wife Olive; sons, Harold, Glen and Scott (Colleen) daughters, Margaret (Dave) Fyfe and Joan (Ted) Wazny; grandchildren, David (Cassandra) Fyfe, Johanna and Johnathon Wazney and new baby Amber Joyce Hall; great-grandchildren, Baillie, Taylor and Kelsey Fyfe. He was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Eleanor (Leask). John was born April 24, 1921 at home on the family homestead in Clandeboye, MB. As a young man, he worked on the farm. He enlisted in the army, serving in Canada and overseas with the 18th Armoured Car Regiment (12th Manitoba Dragoons) from 1942 - 1945. He spent the greater part of his life in the wood-working industry, retiring in 1980 due to illness. John had many hobbies and talents and enjoyed travelling. He was a very caring father and grandfather. John was a member of the Selkirk Legion Branch 42. The family wish to thank Beacon Hill Lodge, Deer Lodge Centre and D.V.A. A very grateful thank you to the special staff on Tower 7 who cared for and about John and helped give John and I those extra years together. Thank you to the Dauphinais family for their friendship. Special thank you to Reverend Aubrey Hemminger for being there for me. According to Johns wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at Brookside Cemetery in the Military Section. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorial donations may be made to the Hunter Memorial Hospital in Teulon, MB, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
