Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH S. REYNOLDS Joseph S. Reynolds passed away on Friday, January 16, 2004 at Central Park Lodge. He was predeceased by his wife of 70 years, Violet (nee Nadin) in 1997; daughter Barbara Cormie, 1997; brothers, Jim of Sault St. Marie, Bob, Ron and sister Agnes Haslam of England. He is survived by his daughters, Glady (Jeff) of Markham, ON, Elaine (Gord) Robinson of Kenora; son-in-law Doug (Monique) Cormie; grandchildren, Debbie, Gordie, Barb Robinson, Danny, Tracey and Chris Cormie, Susan Rech and sisters, Kate Watkins of Sault St. Marie, Sue Samworth and Charlie of England. Joe was born in Birkenhead, England on February 17, 1903. He was an 80-year member of the Masonic Lodge and a shriner. He came to Canada in 1921 to Woodbay, MB and then to Winnipeg. He served in the Royal Canadian Engineers, going overseas in January 1940, returning home in 1945. He worked at Deer Lodge Hospital before moving to Washington, DC, where he became Security Officer of Canadian Joint Chief of Staff for 15 years. Upon retirement, Joe and Vi relocated to Wexford Street, then Laxdal Avenue until Vis death, when he moved into the O.E.S. Chalet on Grant. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Victoria Hospital and Central Park Lodge. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Rev. Danny Cormie and Rev. Chris Cormie officiating. A reception will follow at Eastern Star Chalet on Grant Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cancer Research, ON1160-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 would be appreciated.
