MURIEL GLADYS TODD (nee CLARKE) 1920 - 2004 Muriel passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Deer Lodge Centre in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Cecil in 1999. Muriel was survived by Cecils daughters, Carol (Len) Bennett of Missouri; Sharon Todd of Kelowna, BC and Linda (Kelly) Lawrence of Winnipeg; sisters, Irene Hartnell of Winnipeg and Olive (Jim) Axtell of Regina; a special niece, Roberta Linnett of Winnipeg. She is also survived by her good friends, Thelma and Guenther Zionn along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many other relatives. Muriel was born in Regina on September 13, 1920. After receiving her education she began work as a secretary at the Department of National Defense. In 1954, she was united in marriage with Col. Cecil Todd. The couple lived in various cities across Canada before retiring to Florida. They spent over 35 years in Florida before returning to Winnipeg. During her years in Regina, she became a member of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 7 Regina Chapter. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Thursday, January 22 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow the interment.
