MOLLARD (nee DUNCAN) Kathy Mollard, with her family close, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 19, 2004, at the age of 67 years. She leaves to mourn her passing sons, Ron Jr. and Larry (Cindy) and her daughter Merilee; devoted grandmother to Autumm, Jackson, Amanda. She is survived by sister Mary Caldwell (Max), sister Dyla McGregor; brother Jack Duncan (Pat) sister-in-law Doreen Duncan; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Kathy was predeceased by her sister Edna; her brother Colin; her brother-in-law Ken; and her father Kenneth; and mother Edith. Katherine was born at Portage la Prairie Hospital and raised on a farm in Austin, MB. She came to work as a teacher in Stonewall where she met and married Ronald A. Mollard (Tex) on July 5, 1958. Together they raised their three children. Kathy was a principal at Stony Elementary School for 37 years. Upon her retirement Kathy and Tex fulfilled their dream of breeding and raising horses. Kathy loved to ride and watch her family work with the horses on her farm. Kathy was a kind and generous woman who helped a lot of people throughout her lifetime. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the Stonewall Hospital and Manitoba CancerCare. It is with deepest appreciation from the family for all that was done for Kathy by homecare, the Palliative Care South West Program and the St. Boniface Palliative Ward for making it a comfortable passing. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 23, 2:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Home, and family and friends are invited to a luncheon to be held in the Stonewall Legion Hall immediately following the service. Friends who so desire may make donations to the Palliative Care South West, 321 Main St., Stonewall, MB R0C 2Z0, in lieu of flowers. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
