ROSEMARIE PLUESCHOW Rosemarie Plueschow (nee Schirg) passed peacefully from this earth Tuesday, January 20, 2004. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gunter Plueschow; her two sons, Michael Plueschow and wife Susan, Lloyd Plueschow and wife Susan; her granddaughter Aynsley; grandson Kristian; and sister Irene (Schirg) Kertez and husband Ernie. Born in Berlin, Germany, June 12, 1925, the youngest of four sisters, to Karl and Edith Schirg. Later she would meet and marry Gunter Plueschow September 20, 1952. She followed her husband to Canada, after the birth of their first son Michael. Canada would become her adoptive home where she raised her family and shared her love for life. wife, mother, Oma, friend, music teacher, composer, choir director, choir member, swim instructor, coach are just some of the many hats she has worn during her lifetime. Many will remember and miss her passion for music, which she shared and nurtured with others all her life. Some may still remember her as the "Lady of the Lake", for swimming Lake Windermere (British Columbia). She spent many summers at Caddy Lake as the Aquatics director sharing her love of water. This love she shared with her husband and passed on to her children and grandchildren. She touched so many lives. We wish to thank the Grace Hospital, the wonderful staff and Drs. Oscar and Sheila Domke who helped make her final days be bearable. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 59 Academy Road, with Reverend Jim Scholz officiating.
