ANASTASIA "NEL" MAZUR Peacefully, on January 20, 2004 at 4:00 a.m., our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister Anastasia "Nel" Mazur passed away at the age of 84 years. Nel was born on February 28, 1919 and spent her younger years on a farm near Gilbert Plains, MB. As a young adult, she moved to Winnipeg, where she met and married Peter Mazur on February 10, 1945. Nel spent 54 happy years as "Petes Lady". Nel was predeceased by her beloved husband Peter Mazur and her sister Anne Hunt. Nel will be forever cherished and lovingly remembered by her sons, Gerald (Margaret) and Robert (Brenda) her grandchildren, Tim, Heather (Scott) and Robert; and her great-grandchildren, Brittany, Tim, Zacharie and Spencer. She will also be sadly missed by her sisters, Helen Melmoth, Mary (Bruno) Gos and Justine (Les) Adams; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 1858 Portage Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Brebeuf Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Pl. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 4535 Main St. In lieu of flowers, we invite all who knew Nel to cherish one or many special moments spent with her.
