Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMICHAEL BOYCHUK Suddenly on January 13, 2004, Michael Boychuk of Dauphin, MB passed away at the age of 63. Mike was born in Zoria, MB on April 29, 1940. He received his education in Ethelbert and at the Dauphin Collegiate. Mike worked for Maple Leaf Construction for many years. In 1962 he married Florence Trotz and in 1965 they moved to Lynn Lake, MB where Mike worked at Sherritt Gordon Mines as a long hole driller for 25 years. In 1990 they relocated to Cassiar, BC where Mike worked for Cassiar Mining. Upon retirement Mike and Florence moved to Dauphin, MB where he was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Parish. Mike was predeceased by his father Metro in 1980 and his mother Anne in 1999. Mike is survived by his wife Florence of 41 years; three daughters, Rose Marie and husband Scott of Winnipeg, Janet and husband Allen of Oakbank and Lisa of Winnipeg; grandchildren, Jason, Corey, Brendan and Garrett. He is also survived by brothers, John, Nick, Morris and wife Gwen of Dauphin; sister Sylvia and husband Ernie of Winnipeg; father-in-law Bill Trotz including many nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts. Prayers will be held Sunday, January 25 at 8:00 p.m. at Sneath-Strilchuk Funeral Chapel in Dauphin. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. at the Ukrainian Catholic Parish of the Resurrection with Rev. Msgr Mitrat Michael Buyachok officiating. Active pallbearers are Dennis Trotz, Sylvestor Trotz, Dennis Storozuk, Stan Wasylyniuk, Larry and Brian Frykas. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Mikes memory to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation or the Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Dauphin.
