Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDAVID JOHNSTONE December 3, 1930 - January 20, 2004 Peacefully after a lengthy illness Dave passed away with his family by his side. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Betty of 43 years; four children, Debbie (Neil), Dale "Danny" (Kellie), Doug (Lisa) and Tammy (Bob) and three cherished grandchildren, Darrell, Cole and Brooke; as well as his many brothers, sisters and in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first son Darrell in 1977. Born in Newfoundland, he served in the Korean War then settled in Winnipeg working as a steelworker, a truck driver and a warehouse worker. A special thanks to the caring staff on the 4th floor at the Poseidon Care Centre; also a special thank you to Elizabeth for her comforting care. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 26 at 7:00 p.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 E. at Navin Road. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Dialysis Unit, 2300 McPhillips Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2V 3M3.
