DOROTHY ILENE MORRISON (nee YOUNG) On January 18, 2004 at the new Grace Hospice and in the presence of her family, Dorothy Morrison passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dorothy was born in Bowsman, MB on June 23, 1931. She leaves to mourn her passing, her children, Patti (Doug), Peter (Lauri) and Peggy (Rick) granddaughter Carly; brothers and sister, Morris (Iris), Homer (Thelma) and Beth (Gordon). Dorothy worked for Zellers for many years. After retiring, she enjoyed her crafts, gardening and spending time with her granddaughter and her cat, Meke. She found fulfilment in participating in her church activities. The family would like to thank those whose professional and compassionate care helped Dorothy extend her life and its quality far beyond any initial expectations. A special thanks to Beverly, her hospice friend. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 24 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Charles United Church on Isbister Street. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St, Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7 or the Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3.
