Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE (ICHIYE) OMOTO 1917 - 2004 Peacefully on January 20, 2004 Irene Ichiye Omoto (nee Hoshino) went home to be with her beloved husband Toshio. Irene was born in Capilano, North Vancouver, BC on June 20, 1917. Prior to moving to Winnipeg in 1961, Mom, Dad and the two children lived in Geraldton, ON for 13 years. She will be greatly missed, remembered and loved by her son Howard (Lana) daughter Jane; two grandchildren, Dean (Angela) and Kimi; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jessie and Megan; brothers, Toshio (Sumi) Hoshino, Akio Hoshino; sisters, Marion Sunahara (London, ON), Yoshiko Machida (Ottawa, ON) sisters-in-law, Kay Matsukubo, Sue Yoshino, Florence Hirose, Keiko Hirose (George) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 23 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Reverend Fredrich Ulrich, Sensei. Interment to follow in Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Manitoba Buddhist Church, 825 Winnipeg Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0R5.
