ULYSSE LAMOUREUX 1915 - 2004 Entoure par sa famille et dans la presence de Dieu, Ulysse est decede le jeudi 22 janvier, 2004 a lage de 88 ans. Outre son epouse bien-aimee, Aurore, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants: Armand (Lauren) Marcel (Robie), Estelle et Sharon: ses petits-enfants: Darrell (Tracy), Steven (Tammy), Michelle, Angela (Tony) et Pamela; sept arrieres-petits-enfants: Mathieu, Nicole, Kyle, Alex, Devin, Rorie et Mia; et sa soeur Florence Trudel. Il fut precede de ses parents, Alfred et Sarah; ses freres, Albert, Henri, Emile, Ovide, Gracien, Arthur, Denis, Ernest et Omer; et ses soeurs Clara et Irene. Ulysse was devoted husband who cherished his wife, rarely leaving her side. He was a wonderful, loving father who gave selflessly for the well being of his children. He loved being a grandfather, immensely enjoying every song, story and smile that he received. Ulysse was deeply religious man. He devoted countless hours to establishing and supporting his church, Notre-Dame-de-lAssomption. He was a modest man who wanted little for himself, preferring to give of his time and money to those in need. Dad was fiercely proud of being a Canadian, often stating that we lived in the best country in the world. During the Second World War, he gave five years of his life overseas as an operating room technician. It troubled him that the world still was not at peace. A celebration of Dads life will begin with praying on Sunday, January 25 at 7:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street. Funeral liturgy will be held on Monday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. at Notre-Dame-de-lAssomption, 609 Leola Street in Transcona. The family would like to thank Dr. Nicole Allegro and all those who helped in our time of need.
