PIERRE (PETER) GERMAIN MARTIN Suddenly on January 20, 2004, at Victoria General Hospital, our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle went home to be with his Saviour. Born at Hodgson on April 4, 1931, Peter worked on his parents farm and received his education there. He worked construction for many years in the North and in Winnipeg. Peter loved to laugh and tell a joke; he also loved the outdoors but most of all, his wife of 26 years, Violet. Peter was predeceased by his parents, two infant siblings and one brother-in-law. Left to mourn is his wife Violet; children and their spouses, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nine sisters and brothers, their spouses, plus many nieces, nephews and friends. God gave us a wonder, now He has an angel. Anyone can be a father - it takes someone special to be a dad. The family wishes to give special thanks to Dr. M. Cummings as well as the staff at the Victoria Hospital for all of their care and compassion. Service will be held at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 24 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Interment to follow.
