RICHARD DELALIAUX
Born: Sep 15, 1946
Date of Passing: Jan 22, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRICHARD DELALIAUX It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Richard on Thursday, January 22, 2004. He is survived by his wife Jerilyn; daughter Michelle; sister Lucille and husband Don Wilson; nieces, Debbie, Dawn and Sandy and their families in British Columbia and the Tiltman families in Winnipeg. Richard was born at the St. Boniface Hospital on September 15, 1946. He had spent all his life in the Transcona and Dugald areas. Richards life work revolved around the transportation industry for many years until he formed his own successful company, Transaide International Inc., and he remained self-employed until his passing. He was the "Salesman Extraordinaire". Richard was very active in sports in his younger years and that love for sports continued on. He was a fan of hockey (namely the "Habs"), golf, baseball and especially the "Sport of Kings", where he owned several horses at Assiniboia Downs over the years and attended race tracks and stud farms in Canada, USA and Australia. But, his greatest joy was time spent in the boat fishing on Florence Lake at the family cottage at Winnitoba. He was and will always be "The best fisherman in the Whiteshell". Richard had a well-known sense of humour and he would always have a good joke to keep people smiling. He will be affectionately remembered and missed by his family and many friends as well as his "two blonde girls", Kayla and Paige. Cremation has taken place. A family dinner in celebration of Richards life was held on Saturday and a memorial service will take place at Winnitoba in July. The family thanks the doctors and nurses of Concordia and St. Boniface Hospitals for their loving care of Richard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richards memory to: The Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
