Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAWRENCE GUNNAR ENSTROM This is the obitbulkloaduary of our dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Lawrence Enstrom, who left us suddenly on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at the age of 85. His wife Myrtle; brothers, Roland and Gerald and his parents, predeceased Dad. Dad will be sadly missed by his children, Mel (Carol) of Stonewall, MB, Roger (Marilyn) of Inwood, MB, Carolyn of Calgary, AB and Terry (Wendy) of Teulon, MB; his siblings, Isla Sewter of Fort QuAppelle, SK, Ruth Hartman of Calgary, AB and Warren Enstrom of Calgary, AB, six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and special friend Doreen Schaeffer of Teulon, MB. Dad raised our family and farmed in the District of Ideal, MB until 1966 when he accepted a position as Correctional Officer for the Province of Manitoba. He retired in 1979 and lived in Inwood for 20 years before moving to Teulon where he spent his remaining years. Dad loved hunting, fishing, dancing to "Old Time" music, gardening and working in his shop. He was especially proud to be a Brother Elk and enjoyed dressing up in his purple and whites. Dad worked hard during his life and "gave it his all" in everything he did, whether it was job related, helping family or volunteering for the community. Funeral services will be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon, MB on Monday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Claire Speary officiating. According to Dads wishes cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to Gateway Manor Inc., 169 Beach Rd., Teulon, MB R0C 3B0. Arrangements entrusted to MacKenzie Funeral Service, 1-204-467-2525.
