Date of Passing: Jan 23, 2004
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE JOYCE STOTTS (CORNELL) Formerly from Brandon, Manitoba Peacefully surrounded by her children on January 23, 2004, it is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of our mother and grandmother, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband Reginald, parents Alfred & Alma, brothers; Ollie, Arnie, Sisters; Frances and Phyllis. Lorraine will be lovingly remembered by her children Charlene (John) Traverse Bay, Len (Lora) Winnipeg and Leisa Florida. She will be missed by her grandchildren; Brenden, Miranda, Christopher, Tyler and Riley, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and special close friends in Brandon, Winnipeg, and Florida. Growing up in Brandon with her special nephew Bob Cornell, she was introduced to sports at an early age. When she couldnt beat him at golf, she took up curling. The dynamic team of Audrey (lead), Lorraine (second), Eadie (third) and Rita (skip) brought home many trophies from Virden and North Dakota. For the past 12 years, Lorraine enjoyed the Florida sunshine for 6 months annually, with Leisa, Brenden and Miranda. Summertime lovingly spent with Len, Lora and her grandchildren at Lake of the Woods, and Charlene and John at Lake Winnipeg. These were special memories to be cherished. Strong willed, determined and giving of herself were all evident to everyone who knew her. Special thanks to Auntie Cec (sister-in-law and best friend) who has always been there for all of us in present and past difficult times. The family would like to extend gratitude for the compassionate care and concern from Dr. Woo and the nursing staff on the 4th floor Surgery at the Victoria General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Funeral services and interment will be held in Brandon at a later date. GARRY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, CEMETERY & CREMATION CENTRE 1291 McGillivray Blvd - 925-1120
