MARGARET KNOX FRASER 1931 - 2003 With immensely sad hearts at her passing but very proud hearts that celebrate a life well lived, on December 10, 2003, we wished Margaret off on a new journey, a journey that irrevocably changed our lives forever. Margaret faced her illness with incredible courage, a strong will and even stronger heart. A wonderful human being, an incredible woman, daughter, mother, grandmother, a good friend and much loved mother-in-law, Margaret passed the way she lived with grace, strength, dignity and beauty. To know courage, devotion and caring, you need only have met Margaret once. She exemplified what it meant to love your family, devoting herself to her husband, the raising of six children and seven grandchildren. Even in her final days, she continued to express concern and gratitude toward others. Margaret had a quick wit, an easy intelligence and a wonderful gift for conversation. Margaret was gracious and generous in spirit and of heart. Margaret will be missed immensely by her children, Fiona, Sheena, Katherine, Brian and Ian; by grandchildren, Chris, David, Courtney, Michael, Brianna, Kade and Ashley; and great-granddaughter Emma. She will be very fondly remembered by son-in-law Brad Hominick; daughter-in-law Carolyn and Bruce. To those of you who visited, thank you. To Moms longtime friend Eve, your healing words and prayers were of great comfort to Mom, thank you. To Kay, Ethel, Bob, Clements and Sheila, we offer our gratitude. Your continued visits with Mom despite her deteriorating condition showed respect and offered her the dignity and comfort she so deserved. While she may have been unable to communicate with words, she could still see and hear and welcomed your good company. Cremation has taken place. A private family memorial will be held in Thunder Bay in the spring 2004. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Manitoba CancerCare.
