Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY (HARRY) ALBERT SLEEMAN January 24, 1910 - January 24, 2004 Harry passed away at the Grace Hospital on January 24, 2004. He is survived by his wife and companion Emily, sister-in-law Grace, nephew Barry (Lynda), niece Corinne (Bob) and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Sarah; sister Gwen (Norm) and brother, George (Grace). In 1931 he joined the Winnipeg Fire Department where he served 44 years, until his retirement in 1975 as Battalion Chief, Director of Training and Personnel. He was a member of St. Johns Lodge #4 Masonic Order for over 70 years. His favourite retirement time was spent at the cottage at West Hawk Lake. Special thanks to Dr. Oscar Domke, the staff of the Emergency ward and 5th floor of the Grace Hospital and Homecare Peter and Cristeta, Rose, Elizabeth and Yvonne, and the administrative staff for all their help. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. at the Masonic Memorial Temple, 420 Corydon Ave. Flowers are gratefully declined, but if so desired, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Rd., Winnipeg, MB R2L 1X3 or the Canadian Cancer Society, Manitoba Division, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7.
