Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDOREEN E. BISSETT It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our mother, Doreen E. Bissett on Sunday, January 25, 2004 at the Grace Hospice. Mom leaves to cherish her love and memory, her sons, Robert, Donald and wife Barbara; three granddaughters, Lesley and fiance Dimitrios (Jim) Cotsianis, Angella and Jennifer; and one great-grandson Ashton; her sister Jean Pettypiece of Boissevain, MB; her brother Robert and wife Sybil Stroud of Grandview, MB; and several nieces and nephews also survive her. Mom was born November 9, 1924 in Boissevain, MB and remained there until her late teens when she moved to Winnipeg. She began her career with the Hudson Bay Company as an elevator attendant until being moved into Ladies Fashions. On November 1, 1952 she married Clare N. Bissett and moved with him a short time later to Saskatoon. It was there, two years later, her lifelong commitment as mother began. Mom was predeceased by her beloved husband Clare on October 26, 1985; her parents, Dougal (Red) and Elsie Stroud; sisters, Norma Stroud, Hazel Arthurs, Shirley Stevens; and brother Claire Stroud. As a family, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Sharon Mould of the Assiniboine Clinic for her care and compassion, Jacqueline Reimer and Shirley Nerbas of Home Care. The nursing and support staff of the Grace Hospice will also be remembered for their overwhelming compassion and support during Moms final days. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Michael Boulger officiating. Floral tributes, if desired, should be sent directly to Chapel Lawn for the service. "The love between a mother and her son is a priceless treasure, Growing more beautiful with each passing year." Farewell my dear Mom Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
