MARY DRAPOTOY July 27, 1921 - January 26, 2004 Peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2004 at the Pine View Lodge in Nipawin, SK, Mary Drapotoy beloved wife of the late Peter Drapotoy passed away. She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, John (Diane) of Sarnia, ON and William (Sharon) of Nipawin; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by her husband Peter; parents, Joseph and Kathryn Gerun; sisters, Nellie Szajowski, Annie Szajowski; by her brothers, John and Mike Gerun. Mary was born and raised in Beausejour and educated at the Winnipeg School for the Deaf. She was a very happy and generous woman who enjoyed her family and friends. Her boys were her life. She enjoyed many activities including gardening, walking, crocheting and Ukrainian cooking. The Holy Ghost Church in Beausejour was a special part of her life. She was a dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother may she now rest in that special place. Prayers will be said on Friday, January 30 at 7:30 p.m. from Russell Funeral Home, Beausejour, MB. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31 at 10:30 a.m. from the Holy Ghost Church, Beausejour with Fr. Taras Kouch officiating. Interment in the Holy Ghost Parish Cemetery.
