JEANNE KINDRAT (nee LECLERC) After a lengthy battle with cancer Jeanne passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital on January 26, 2004, at the age of 78 years. Mom was predeceased by her parents Jean-Baptiste Onesime and Blanche (Roy) Leclerc; brothers, Roland (Florence), Tony (Marie) and Rene; sister Bertha (Valeri Besner). Shell be lovingly remembered by husband John of 58 years; sons, Raymond (Vickie) and Larry (Linda) daughters, Lorraine (Rene) and Sharon (Bruce) grandchildren, Jeff, Shawn, Daniel, Todd, Troy, Trevor and Michelle (Thomas Motyka). She is also survived by brother Claude (Alda) and sister Denise (Reg Walton) also the close extended families of Rose and Vic Hercun, Janine and Bill Frovich, Gerry and Elaine Leclerc, Armand Leclerc, Robert and Debbie Leclerc, Johnny Leclerc and Gisele Leclerc. Mom had a green thumb with all plants, looked after foster children for years, worked in the kitchen at St. Boniface General Hospital, was teachers aide at Archwood School for a few years, worked in canteen (bingo) at Holy Family Church, was active with the Catholic Womens League at Holy Family Church, did knitting, decoupage, played cards with family and friends. Our grateful thanks to family doctor, Dr. P.G. Mehta and staff and associates Dr. Shah, Dr. Caron-Boulet; cancer doctors, Dr. Shajania and Dr. C. Olweny of Oncology and chemo nurse Bonnie Johnson. Our special thanks to the staff of 6A South and 6E Geriatric of St. Boniface Hospital. Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Church, Dubuc Street and Traverse Avenue on Thursday, January 29 at 2:00 p.m. with viewing at 1:30 p.m. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date. Pallbearers will be her six grandsons. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to St. Boniface Hospital & Research Foundation, 409 Tache Ave., Room D 1003, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2A6 (237-2067).
