Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE MAKODANSKI (SEREDA) On Sunday, January 25, 2004 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Anne Makodanski (Sereda) passed away at the age of 94. Anne arrived in Canada in March 1927 to join her father. Her mother had passed away when Anne was three years old. In 1930, her brother Mitchel Orischuk joined the family in Canada. Anne was employed at various jobs which included house cleaning, farming, finding employment wherever there was work. In 1946 she married Peter Makodanski and together they farmed in Tolstoi. After her husbands untimely death, she moved to Winnipeg. Anne was a member of the Ukrainian Labour Temple, Selkirk Avenue Seniors Club and the Russian Club on Selkirk Avenue. Anne loved singing and was a member of the Ukrainian Labour Temple Seniors Choir and The Selkirk Avenue Seniors Club Choir. Anne is survived by stepchildren and their families; niece Eleanor; nephew John and relatives in Ukraine. She was predeceased by husbands, Peter Makodanski, Peter Karwacki, Nick Sereda; brother and sister-in-law Mitchel and Mary Orischuk. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 29 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Viewing will take place one-half hour prior to service.
