Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJENNIE ANNA ZABUDNY Peacefully on January 26, 2004 at the Red River Personal Care Home, Jennie Zabudny, formerly of Winnipeg Beach, fell asleep in death at the age of 96. She is survived by her son Russell; daughter Verna (Peter) Bodnar; grandchildren, Perry (Lila) Bodnar, Brad (Angela) Bodnar, Deborah Baker of Calgary, Mark (Suzanne) Zabudny, Craig (Helen) Zabudny, Audra (Darryl) Mayo; great-grandchildren, Ryan Bodnar, Matthew (Beth) Bodnar, Justine Bodnar, Brianne and Nathan Baker and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Nick; her son Zennie; grandson Jeff; Tom Baker, husband of Deborah; six sisters and two brothers and nieces and nephews. Jennie was born on January 23, 1908 to John and Anna Gooley in the District of Foley. She married Nick Zabudny and together they farmed in Foley until 1968 when they retired from farming and settled in Winnipeg Beach. She will always be remembered for her love of family and friends, for her warm smile and hospitality, her love of flowers and gardening, cooking and baking. She was a member of the Winnipeg Beach congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses. Her faith in her God Jehovah and the Bibles promise of a resurrection never wavered. She looked forward to the time when the earth will be restored to a paradise, where there will be no more sickness, pain, or death. Revelation 21:4 Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Bob McArthur presiding. Interment to follow in the St. Williams Cemetery. The family wishes to extend thanks to the nurses and staff at Red River Place for their care and compassion. Gilbart Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
