GRACE LILLIAN BAKER On January 31, 2004, Grace Lillian Baker, widow of William Gladstone Baker, passed away peacefully at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Besides her husband Bill she was predeceased by two brothers, Ernie and Everett Anderson. Surviving are her sister May Hawkins; four children, William (Alice), Beverley (Wayne), Tom (Judy), and Patti; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Grace grew up in Sturgeon Creek and shared her love of music with her sister May. Together they made a joyful noise in Church Choirs, Sweet Adelines and family get togethers. Mom was deeply committed to her church and community and was the recipient of the City of Winnipeg Community Service Award. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m., at Thomson Funeral Chapels, 669 Broadway. Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Baker, Wade Baker, Dale Baker, Barry Baker, Jackie Kirkpatrick, Colleen Good, Rod Park, Brett Park, Scott Park, Kyle Baker and Heather Bouvier. Flowers gratefully declined, donations to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd., West St. Paul, MB R4A 4A6, or to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2.
