SOPHIE ADELE BERARD (nee KACZOR) Peacefully on January 28, 2004, Mrs. Sofia Berard, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. Sofia was born on April 25, 1910 in Winnipeg and spent her whole life in Winnipeg. She married her husband Joseph in 1926 and together they raised eight children. Sofia was predeceased by her husband Joseph and two sons, Ronnie and Clifford. She is survived by her daughters, Tootsie (Peter), Alice, Roseanna (John) and her sons, Ed (Eve), Arne (Lorrie) and Alfred; also by three generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, too numerous to mention. Sofia made friends with many people. She had a great zest for life and was truly a very strong and loving person. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 2 at 1:00 p.m. in the P. Coutu Funeral Chapel, 156 Marion St. with viewing one half hour prior to service.
