MARGARET SUSANNA DAWSON (FORSYTH) Margaret passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2004 at the Concordia Place Personal Care Home at the age of 94 years. She was the widow of Lieutenant Fotheringham Dawson, S.S.R who was killed in Dieppe. Survived by two sisters, Mary Curtis and Betty Swain of Winnipeg; one brother James E. Forsyth; her two children, Enid Kaake of Winnipeg and Ronald J.F. Dawson (Shirley) of Bissett, MB; six grandchildren, Brenley Kaake of Minneapolis, Bonnie deKoning (Jim) of Winnipeg, R. Ian Dawson (Joanne), Susan Tereck (Gordon), Malcolm Dawson (Karen) of Winnipeg and Colleen Paterson (Robert) of St. Lazare, QC; 19 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother John B (Jack) Forsyth. Margaret was born September 18, 1909 at Eriksdale, MB. Mom was employed at the Abbott Clinic prior to her marriage, then again during and after the Second World War, to raise her family of two children. She was a longtime member and elder at Chalmers United Church and later McClure United Church. She was also a staunch member and past chief of Dame Ishbel Camp and Robert Burns Camp of the Sons of Scotland. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, January 30 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. with Rev. Hugo Unruh presiding.
