BENITO CALALANG DE LA CRUZ Suddenly on Monday, January 26, 2004 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, Benito Calalang Dela Cruz, aged 72 years, with his loving wife Josefa at his bedside, entered into his eternal rest. Benitos memory will be forever cherished, and he will be sadly missed by his wife Josefa and their children, along with their respective families, Bernadette de Jesus (Dennis), Dennis Jr. and Andrew of Calgary, AB; The Late Rhodora Reyes (Edwin), Jon-Jon and Nonie of The Philippines and Yolanda Castaneda (Cesar) of Vancouver, BC. Lamay will be held on Wednesday, January 28 tonight between 6:00 and 12:00 midnight (prayers will be recited for the repose of Benitos soul at 8:00 p.m.), and again on Saturday, January 31 (with the funeral service at 7:00 p.m.), all at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St., with Rev. Fr. Vicente L. Tungolh officiating. Benitos earthly remains will be forwarded in care of Fosters Garden Chapel, 3220-4th St. N.W. Calgary, AB, for Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, February 4, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ascension Roman Catholic Church, 1100 Berkshire Blvd., N.W. Calgary, AB, with Rev. Fr. Ignatius Thu Tran presiding, with interment following at Queens Park Cemetery, Calgary, AB.
