ELIZABETH DRAPER Peacefully on Sunday, January 25, 2004, with her family by her side, Elizabeth (Betty) Draper passed away. Mom was born in Glasgow, Scotland the eleventh child of Zilah and Albert Kesson. Family always came first to Mom, thats what life was all about. She was a generous, kind, independent lady with a good sense of humour. Mom was a gifted seamstress, making beautiful clothes for family and friends. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, gardening, knitting, baking, her Scottish shortbread was the best. Later in life she took up crocheting which she enjoyed until her eyesight worsened. Mom loved walking, travelling, classical music and being around family and friends for a good laugh. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Draper after 58 years of marriage. She is survived by her daughters, Merle and Hilda; son-in-law Doug; granddaughter Sarah; sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews in Canada, Scotland, England, Australia, and New Zealand. Special thanks to Beth, Rowena, Deb, Sam, Virginia, Nela, Darlene, Marilyn and so many others for the compassion and caring you gave to our Mom in her hours of most need; we will be forever grateful. Cremation has taken place and a private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
