Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS VIOLA GAUTHIER (nee SHARPLES) 1929 - 2004 Gladys Gauthier passed away January 26, 2004 at the Rockyview Hospital, Calgary, at the age of 74. She will be dearly missed by her husband Raymond; their children, Joanne McConnell (Larry) of Cameron, ON, Linda Clark (Peter) of Edmonton, Gloria Nason (Steve) of Calgary, Angela Morrow (Trymer) of Calgary, and Ray Gauthier (Kim) of Montreal; 17 grandchildren, Billy, Jimmy, Tracy, Kim, Terri, Tina, Peter Jr., Karen, Trymer Jr., Stephen, Vanessa, Natalie, Raena, Lisa, Heather, Areilla and Shane; 14 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Cecile and Albert Sharples; and brothers and sisters, William, Emma, Colin, Clarence, Henry, Mary and Melvin. Gladys was born in Rosser, MB and raised in Winnipeg. She married Raymond Gauthier in 1946 and raised their family in Dorval, QC before moving to Calgary in 1988. Gladys loved country music and played in country bands for many years. She was a fabulous cook and loved to feed her family. She had a strong faith and will be remembered for dedicating her life to her husband and family. Funeral services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Parkland Chapel, 14540 Parkland Blvd. SE, Calgary on Thursday, January 29 at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Tom Parker officiating.
