Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES HERBERT LOUDFOOT Peacefully, on Monday, January 26, 2004 at the Misericordia Health Centre, James Herbert Loudfoot passed away at the age of 87 years. Herbert was predeceased by his beloved wife of 47 years, Raymonde (nee Wyndels) in 2001. He is survived by his son Robert (Valarie). Herbert was a devoted and loving husband and father who always put family first. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Born in Battlefield Gardens, Glasgow, Scotland in 1916, Herbert obtained his BSc (Honours) from the University of Glasgow in 1939. In 1947 he immigrated to Canada to take a position as a Lecturer with the University of Manitoba, Chemistry Department, where he also obtained his PhD in Chemistry in 1956. Herbert retired as a Chemistry Professor after 35 years with the University. A special thanks to the staff and volunteers of the Misericordia Health Centre, as well as Herberts home care and nursing staff, for all the kindness and support shown to the entire family. A Service of Thanksgiving will take place on Thursday, January 29 at 1:30 p.m. in the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 256 Smith St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the United Way of Winnipeg, 5 Donald St., 3rd Floor, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 2T4.
