Peters work started with early postings in Southeast Manitoba and then the Cowan area, Minitonas, and many years in Swan River. This was a position he enjoyed until his retirement in 1991. Peter loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also enjoyed curling. Peter was an active member of the Wheat City Lions Club. Through his retirement he spent many days at the family cabin in the Duck Mountains. In 1998 Peter was blessed with his first grandchild, Mitchell. Peter took great joy in taking Mitchell boating, fishing and snowmobiling.
