STEVE ROGOCKI With sadness in our hearts, the family announces the peaceful passing of Steve Rogocki, at the age of 77 years, on January 27, 2004 at the Concordia Hospital. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his stepdaughter Pat and son-in-law Len Chapko; grandchildren, Shaun, Sharlene (Cory) and Sheldon; his sister Jennie Stefaniuk and Nellie Gmiterek of Beausejour, Carol Gushowaty and Stella Zdrill of Winnipeg, also many nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his wife Anne in 1989; his parents, Alex and Ada; his sister Ella Tymko and his three brothers, Mike, Nick and Walter. Steve was born in Allegra, MB on November 18, 1926. As a youth, Steve was always fascinated with the fixing and repairing of automobiles, thus finding himself a career as a mechanic. He was employed for over 20 years at the Henry Stefaniuk Garage in Beausejour and after moving to Transcona, he was employed with Transcona Motors and Royal Dodge until his retirement. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 30 at 11:00 a.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. with Rev. Fr. Mark Gnutel officiating, with cremation to follow. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
