Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MAY JONES (MORE) (nee GILBEY) May 27, 1915 - January 26, 2004 Lillian May Jones, aged 88 years, passed away at South Terrace Continuing Care Centre, Edmonton into the comforting arms of the Lord. Much beloved, she will be greatly missed by her daughter Ellen Jane Glinka (Hans) her grandsons, George Glinka (Brenda Cooper, Sherisse and Melissa) of Lethbridge, Gordon Glinka (Michelle) great-grandchildren, Christopher and Jessica Glinka of Edmonton. Also by her loving sister Retta Williams and her children, Louise Bell, Bruce Williams of Winnipeg and niece Sylvia Bildfell of Vancouver. Lillian was born at home on Langside Street in Winnipeg and attended Isbister and Hugh John MacDonald Schools. She worked for the Canadian Wheat Board for many years. In 1968 she moved to Edmonton to be near her daughter and grandchildren. In Edmonton, she worked for DAllairds until retirement. Lillian was predeceased by her first husband George Graham More in 1944; her second husband Edgar W. Jones in 1963; her infant daughter Verona in 1941; her father Samuel Gilbey in 1938; her mother Ellen Matilda Gilbey (nee Perkins) in 1942; her sisters, Gertrude in 1928 and Isobel in 2001; her brothers, Roy in 1976, Ernest in 1978, William in 1990 and Kenneth in 1991. Lillian was a member of St. Matthews Anglican Church, Winnipeg and St. Faiths Church, Edmonton. She served in all positions of The Unity Rebekah Lodge. Heartfelt thanks to the staff at South Terrace Continuing Care Centre for their excellent care and loving attention to Lillian. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 31 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. Interment and reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CNIB, 1080 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3G 3M3. Arrangements entrusted to: CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME CEMETERY AND CREMATORIUM 885-9715
