His career began at Fort Battleford National Historic Park, then Fort Walsh National Historic Park and Lower Fort Garry National Historic Park. His position at the Regional Office at the end of his 25 year career allowed him the opportunity to travel to the many parks and historic sites from coast to coast. He had many fond memories of these times. Al was always a very busy and hard working man. He was always willing and able to lend a helping hand, asking nothing in return. Pride in ones work and dedication are values that will be instilled in all who knew him. He had a special fondness for children. His grandchildren brought him great pleasure during his lengthy illness.
